Hello!  

I'm lucky enough to spend my days living in a world of imagination while I read and write books.  I also run creative writing workshops, drink lots of tea, and puzzle over jigsaws (not always in that order!). 

I'm thrilled to announce my newest book will be published by Firefly Press in 2022. Major & Mynah is a junior detective story featuring hard-of-hearing heroine Callie Major and her feathered sidekick, Bo. There's a thief in town but 9-year-old Callie has other things to worry about - her dreaded new hearing aids she nicknames The Slugs. But when she meets Bo, an abandoned Mynah bird, she discovers something amazing: thanks to the Slugs, she can hear him! Can Bo and Callie help catch the thief and save the day? Read more here.

My latest picture book, As Quiet As A Mouse, has been read as the lunchtime story on the BBC children's channel CBeebies.  The book is now available as an Early Reader title. Storyteller Rob Pudner featured Edgar and friends on Entertainingly Different, which you can find here.
